You won't find a cleaner laundromat anywhere else. The owner Brendan takes pride in the business and always maintains a clean and orderly environment. He's quick to address customer concerns and is always striving to improve the laundromat. As a fellow NBPT'er I also appreciate the historical images that Brendan has used to decorate the space. I would absolutely recommend.

Our home washing machine is being repaired so first trip to Joppa Laundry. Clean, bright and in and out with the fast machines that take credit cards! Easy Peasy great addition to the Port!

Super clean! Machines are new! Some of the machines take debit/credit, and it is a lot cooler in here than the laundry mat I had been going to in Ipswich. Will definitely be coming back! Plus, it’s a great excuse for me to go to Tendercrop Farm on my way home!

I’ve been in a lot of laundromat’s in my life, and this one is by far the best. It’s all updated, clean, easy to use, customer friendly and somewhere I actually don’t mind spending time while waiting for my laundry. Can’t recommend Joppa Laundry enough!
This is the cleanest laundromat facility I've been in. Convenient for location, ease of use, payments, and customer service. The new owner has done a fantastic job with this operation. I would highly recommend using Joppa Laundry.

What a delight!!! The only thing cleaner than my beach towels and blankets was the laundromat itself. The machines are state of the art and the place was spotless. The new machines could handle beach towels and bedspreads. A great find..
I am a frequent customer. Nothing but great things to say about this laundromat. The space is very well managed and clean. The hours of operation are perfect for early or late use. You can tell the ownership really takes pride in offering a great customer service. Has a great local vibe. Machines accept coins or credit/debit cards which adds to the convenience. Ample parking and it’s near everything so you can kill time while your clothes are washing and drying. Will continue to frequent this establishment.
As I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean the space was: not only did all of the machines look new and well maintained, every single machine had a credit card reader on it. I was able to use machines #1 and #5, and noticed a sign that new machines are on the way: it seems as though the ownership is committed to being the marquee laundromat in the area and that they are I loved the two new folding tables, and had put a note in the suggestion box about requesting more folding space if possible.

Having traveled around the US relying on laundromats for this past year, this place is hands down the cleanest place I’ve been. They even have sanitizing sprays and paper towels to spray down countertops, all of which were spotless clean when I got there. The only downside is no bathroom but I will gladly hold it to use this place again. Also love the historical decor!
Small but adequate. Very clean and new machines, most with updated credit swipe. There are usually only 1 or 2 people whenever I go, so no problem finding a machine. No bathroom and the vending has a few simple items for laundry, so bring your own. Change machines work fine.
The BEST laundromat for miles around. Seriously - super clean, fantastic and attentive owner. This is the spot for a pleasant laundry day! Now how many laundromats can match this😃👍🏼
JL is the best laundry mat I have EVER been to. Not only is it sparkling clean and comfortable, but the machines are HUGE, AND they take Apple Pay. I couldn’t ask for more but it gets better. I can do my laundry AND my horse’s laundry. The owner has it figured out, I won’t go anywhere else.
My laundry has never felt cleaner than when I took it to Joppa Laundry. The owner clearly knows what he’s doing! My go to spot when I’m back home in Newburyport!

CLEANEST laundry mat by far in the area!! Would absolutely recommend. The washer and dryers are big and efficient enough that they can wash and dry comforters without any issues!
I’ve been to all three of Newburyport’s laundromats over my time here, and I can honestly say this is the nicest, cleanest and most welcoming of them all. The brand new equipment, the card readers and the constant upgrades and updates make a painful chore such as laundry easy It’s well lit, easy parking, very clean (did I mention its clean?) and open convenient times for me, including on holidays when others may be closed I’ll definitely continue to support the new owners and wish them the best of luck!
